3. What is ChampionChip
timing?
It is a state-of-the-art electronic timing system capable
of providing the most accurate Race time possible for thousands
of people at a go. All participants will be timed using
ChampionChip Timing.
Race results which will be published on the event website
within 48 hours after the race, will indicate your “Chip
Time” and “Gun Time”.
“Gun Time” (still officially accepted by the
IAAF as the valid mode of measuring running time) includes
whatever distance you had to cover before you actually reach
the Start line. The ChampionChip eliminates that major issue
of inaccurate timing and gives you your “Net Time”.
All finishers will have their “Net Time” on
their Race Certificate, which will be mailed to the finishers
by 15 Jan 2005. Top
4. What is an Entry
Pack?
The Race Entry Pack is an exclusive event pack which will
consist of Race BIB Number, a loaned ChampionChip, Event

number and all runners must collect their Race Entry Pack
at the Marathon Expo prior to Race Day. Top
