Information for Volunteers
Without the overwhelming and fantastic support of 700 volunteers
in 2003, the race wouldn't have been the runaway success it
was and an instant hit with all runners and supporters.
If you are not taking part in the race
this year and would like to support the running community
(who may also include your friends & family) or
simply want to be part of a great international sporting
event and catch all the thrills and spills first-hand,
here's your chance to do so!
We need volunteers in a range of positions during
Race Day on Sunday, 5 December as well as support
staff at the 3-day Marathon Expo and Roadshows. |
 |
All volunteers must be at least 13 years old and above (as
at 1 Jan 2004) and must attend compulsory briefing(s) prior
to the event. You will also receive a set of New Balance apparel,
meals and drinks on the event day(s), a Volunteer’s
Handbook and a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition
of your efforts. Please note that the organisers will vet
all applications and reserve the right to reject any applications.
|

|
If you are friendly, outgoing, helpful and enjoy sports or being in the outdoors,
we want you!
So, come onboard and celebrate International Volunteer
Day on Sunday, 5 December 2004 with us and make it
a meaningful contribution. See you soon!
