What is ChampionChip timing? |
 |
It is a state-of-the-art electronic timing system capable of providing the most accurate Race time possible for thousands of people at a go. All participants will be timed using ChampionChip Timing.
Race results which will be published on the event website within 48 hours after the race, will indicate your “Chip Time” and “Gun Time”.
“Gun Time” (still officially accepted by the IAAF as the valid mode of measuring running time) includes whatever distance you had to cover before you actually reach the Start line. The ChampionChip eliminates that major issue of inaccurate timing and gives you your “Net Time”.
All finishers will have their “Net Time” on their Race Certificate, which will be mailed to the finishers by 31 Jan 2006.
The ChampionChip is a loaned item so it has to be returned at the end of the race. Failure to do so will result in a penalty and you will also be unable to get your race results. |
